Choir History

Côr Meibion Caernarfon was founded in 1967 by a small group of workers at the Ferodo brake lining factory on the outskirts of the town. The factory has long since closed and the members now come from a variety of occupations, including lawyers, teachers, policemen, mechanics, farmers and retired people. The Choir members come from Caernarfon and the surrounding villages. Every member speaks Welsh. The Choir has toured successfully in Britain, Ireland, continental Europe and North America and it is invited regularly to perform at concerts far and near.

The Choir has had many successes in choral competitions including winning the Male Voice Choir competiion at the National Eisteddfod of Wales nine times.
